A cap and a beanie need different fit questions
For a cap, inspect the crown, brim and rear closure. For a beanie, look at the cuff and the stated size or stretch information. A front photograph alone cannot establish how either will fit around your head.
The grey beanie has a visible knitted appearance. That does not establish wool content, warmth or a guaranteed stretch range. Use the material and size details in the selected listing rather than guessing from the texture.
One size still needs a stated range
New Era’s official sizing chart distinguishes fitted, stretch and adjustable formats and explains measuring around the position where the hat band sits. It demonstrates why closure type matters; its numeric chart is specific to New Era products.
Measure consistently with a flexible tape kept level and snug. Then compare with the seller’s stated head-size range or adjustment limits. If the listing only says one size, ask for that range and a rear view instead of treating the label as universal.
Multi-colour photos require a separate selection check
The cap image containing several colours is a catalog overview. A title naming black does not make every cap in that picture black, and the overview does not prove which option is currently selected. Open the full listing and confirm the variant explicitly.
For QC, request the front embroidery, rear closure or beanie cuff, selected colour and size label where present. Those views can settle visible details. They cannot establish authenticity, comfort or the wear life of a cap you have not tried.
